A Physician-Led Approach to Protecting Your Memory and IndependenceYour Brain Health Starts Long Before a Diagnosis
Brain Health for Dementia Prevention
My grandmother's battle with Alzheimer's changed the way I think about brain health.
My grandmother passed away from Alzheimer's disease. During psychiatry residency, I began learning how much we can do to protect the brain and address modifiable dementia risk factors years before symptoms begin.
That changed the way I thought about brain health, and eventually led me to start The Brain Health Movement, my weekly newsletter dedicated to making evidence-based brain health education accessible and actionable.
What started small has grown to more than 46,000 readers and become one of Substack's leading Health & Wellness newsletters. Today, it has become a community of people who want to be proactive about their brain health, with free education, exclusive content and step-by-step brain health challenges for subscribers.
But brain health isn't something to think about later in life. What you do for your brain today can shape how you feel, function, and live for years to come.
